Mubasher: Oman’s stock exchange rose 0.23% or 12.22 points to close Wednesday at the 5,308.1 level.
Turnover reached OMR 5.07 million, after 27.93 million shares were exchanged through 706 transactions.
The financial and industrial sectors rose 0.58% and 0.03%, respectively, while the services declined 0.2%.
Out of the 35 stocks traded on Wednesday, 11 moved higher, topped by Bank Nizwa which rose 4.55%. Meanwhile, 11 stocks moved lower, led by Al Jazeira Services which fell 3.33%.
Bank Nizwa was the most active in trading volume with 5.19 million shares, and Bank Muscat led in turnover with OMR 1.88 million.
