Oman to launch new airport late March

Mubasher: The new passenger terminal at the Muscat International Airport will be officially launched on 20 March, according to the Omani minister of transport and communications, Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Futaisi.

The new airport serves as a focal point for the world and a landmark of the modern state, in addition to being an important asset of the national economy, the minister stressed, as cited by the Oman News Agency (ONA).

All flights will be transferred to and depart from the current airport to the new airport at the appropriate time, according to the ministry’s statement.
