Mubasher: Oman’s trade surplus reached OMR 842 million by the end of July 2016, versus OMR 1.58 billion in the same period last year, according to a reported released on Tuesday by the Omani National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).
Merchandise exports registered a fall of 28.2% in the first seven months of 2016 OMR 5.79 billion, compared to OMR 8.71 billion in the same period of 2015.
Total imports also declined in the seven-month period by 24% to OMR 4.95 billion from OMR 6.51 billion in the corresponding period last year.
