Mubasher: Trade exchange between Oman and Iran is capable of reaching OMR 4 billion ($10 billion) on the short term, “a figure that is not hard to reach,” according to a statement by Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Thursday.
OCCI Chairman Saeed Saleh Saeed Al Kiyumi during a meeting between Omani businessmen and their Iranian counterparts at Public Authority for Civil Aviation in Muscat, described trading exchange volume between the two countries as relatively little, especially in frame of the historical, social, cultural, political and economic ties between Oman and Iran.
Al Kiyumi said that trade and investment relations between the two countries are improving, and the chamber is working hard to benefit from available opportunities in Omani and Iranian markets.
