Mubasher: Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Thursday's session on a negative note.
The benchmark MSM 30 shed 0.52% or 30.22 points to stand at 5,823.06 points.
The financial sector decreased 0.82%, on the back of Bank Dhofar and Ahli Bank which fell 4% and 2.63%, respectively.
The services sector slipped 0.25%, weighted by Renaissance Services and Al Jazeira Services Company which lost 3.38% and 0.53%, respectively.
The industrial sector was the only gainer by 0.16%, backed by National Aluminium Products Company (Napco) and Galfar Engineering which rose 2.44% and 1.9%, respectively.
Galfar Engineering was the most active stock trading 4.48 million shares at a value of OMR 480,080.
Trading volume reached 11.25 million shares with a turnover of OMR 1.91 million.
