Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Sunday on a positive note, as the main index, MSM 30, added 0.36% or 17.4 reaching the level of 5,377 points.
Trading volume came to 5 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.22 million through 364 trades.
The financial and services sectors inched up by 0.84% and 0.01%, while the industrial fell 0.45%.
Early trading saw nine green shares, five others in red and 17 flat shares.
Oman Flour Mills was the best performer after rising 3.9%, while Galfar Engineering and Contracting was the worst as it slipped 8.6%.
The main gauge plunged last Thursday 37.80% or 0.70% to the level of 5,357.65 points.
