Trading volume reached 4.15 million shares exchanged at OMR 621,520 through 155 transactions.
The industrial and financial sectors advanced 0.57% and 0.36% respectively, while the services shrank 0.11%.
Galfar Engineering topped risers with a growth of 5.36% to OMR 0.117, while Oman Qatari Telecommunications was the only losers after falling 1.05%.
Al Sharqiya Investment Holding made the highest trading activity with a volume of 1.28 million shares exchanged at OMR 186,700.
The index ended Wednesday at a rise of 0.76% or 44.4 points to the level of 5,887.7 points.
