Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Wednesday’s trading in green, as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 1.06% or 57.71 points to 5,487.82 points.
The Shariah index also grew 0.77% or 6.47 points to the level of 843.95 points.
Trading volume reached 33.7 million shares exchanged through 1,200 trades. Turnover came to OMR 5.37 million ($13.9 million).
The financial, industrial and banking sectors rose collectively by 1.68%, 1.07% and 0.67% respectively.
Al Anwar Ceramic Tiles topped gainers by adding 5.26%, while Port Services Corporation was the worst performer after falling 1.64%.
Bank Nizwa made the biggest trading volume activity with 8.44 million traded shares, while Omantel recorded the highest value with a liquidity of OMR 803,420 ($2.08 million).
MSM 30 rose yesterday by 1% or 53.76 points to 5,430.11 points.
