Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Tuesday with a fall of 0.03% or 1.85 point to the level of 5,295.88 points.
The Shariah index rose 0.15% or 1.22 points to 824.78 points.
Turnover reached OMR 3.13 million ($8.12 million) as 14.06 million shares were exchanged through 939 trades.
The services and financial sectors declined 0.18% and 0.13% respectively, while the industrial rose 0.05%.
Oman Textile was the worst performer with a fall of 9.89%, whereas Gulf International Chemicals was the best after growing 8.78%.
Galfar Engineering made the biggest trading volume activity with 2.29 million traded shares, while Muscat Bank was the most active share in terms of trading value with a liquidity of OMR 935,370 ($2.42 million).
The main index and Shariah index closed yesterday with a fall of 0.9% for each.
