Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, rose this week by 2.69% or 150 points to the level of 5,760.48 points, compared to 5,609.7 points.
The Shariah index also increased 1.8% or 15.25 points to the level of 866.89 points, versus 851.64 points last week.
The financial, industrial and services sectors advanced collectively by 3.21%, 3.03% and 1.56% respectively.
Trading volume surged by 45.6% to 211.81 million shares from 144.56 million shares exchanged a week ago.
Turnover also increased by 35.8% to OMR 33.68 million from OMR 24.8 million.
The market value grew by OMR 170 million to OMR 16.77 billion, against OMR 16.6 billion last week.
Oman Fisheries was the week’s best performing share after adding 25.66%, while Sembcorp Salalah was the worst after falling 2.25%.
Galfar Engineering was the largest-traded stock with a volume of 41.43 million shares, while Bank Muscat made the highest liquidity with OMR 4.13 million.
