Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) kicked off Tuesday’s trading in green as the benchmark MSM 30 rose 0.41% or 22.9 points to 5,585.78 points.
The Shariah index also leapt 0.06% or 0.51 point to the level of 847.57 points.
Turnover reached OMR 504,310 ($1.31 million) as 1.8 million shares were exchanged through 116 transactions.
Gulf Investment Services Holding was the top gainer with a 5.66% increase, while Global Financial Investment was the worst performing share after dropping 9.47%.
Bank Sohar was the most active stock as 4.98 million shares were exchanged at OMR 797,770 ($2.1 million).
MSM 30 rose yesterday 1.35% or 73.95 points to 5.562.88 points.
