Omani oil production up 1.1% in Dec. 2015

Mubasher: Oman’s crude oil and condensates production rose 1.12% month-on-month to 31.215 million barrels in December 2015, with a daily average of 1.69 million barrels, according to state data.

The total quantity of crude oil exports increased 0.77% to 25.63 million barrels in the same month and 826,450 barrels per day, Oman’s Ministry of Oil and Gas said.

In its monthly report, the ministry stated that exports to China, the sultanate’s top destination, inched up 0.69% m/m, making up 68.16% of Oman’s total crude oil shipments.

The report, released on Wednesday, indicated a decline in exports to Taiwan and South Korea in December 2015, as they dropped by 5.30% and 2.24% m/m respectively, 

Meanwhile, exports to India, Thailand and Japan climbed 3.85%, 1.98% and 0.03% m/m, respectively. The report also noted that Australia imported crude oil from Oman in December.
