Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) closed Sunday with a rise of 0.33% or 17.25 points to the level of 5,307.99 points.
Meanwhile, the Sharia index dropped 0.12% or 0.99 point to 825.13 points.
Turnover reached OMR 3.05 million ($7.92 million) as 10.52 million shares were traded at 695 trades.
The financial sector rose alone by 0.52%, while the services and industrial slid 0.09% and 0.03% respectively.
Out of 33 companies, six shares closed in green topped by Muscat Bank with a 1.98% increase, while 10 others declined headed by Al Hassan Engineering after falling 4.41%.
Muscat Bank was the most active share with a trading volume of 3.22 million shares and a turnover of OMR 1.33 million ($3.45 million).
MSM 30 and the Sharia index retreated on Thursday by 0.97% and 0.4% respectively.
