Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Tuesday’s trading in the green territory as the main index, MSM 30, rose 0.13% or 7.24 points to 5,688.47 points.
The Shariah index also advanced by 0.01% or 0.12 point to the level of 855.338 points.
Trading volume reached 28 million shares exchanged through 882 trades, with a turnover of OMR 3.6 million ($9.35 million).
Galfar Engineering and Al Hassan Engineering topped gainers by adding 7.53% and 4.71% respectively, whereas Omantel and Oman United Insurance fell 0.63% and 0.37% respectively.
Galfar Engineering was the most active stock with a volume of 10.53 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.05 million ($2.73 million).
MSM 30 closed yesterday with a rise of 0.52% or 29.21 points to the level of 5,681.22 points.
