Mubasher: The main index of Muscat Securities Market (MSM) rose in Wednesday’s early trading by 0.15% or 8.2 points to 5,304.08 points.
The Shariah index also increased 0.35% or 2.93 points to the level of 827.712 points.
Trading volume reached 8.71 million shares exchanged through 217 trades worth OMR 1.07 million ($2.77 million).
Galfar Engineering was the best performing share as it added 3.28%, while Gulf International Chemicals topped losers after falling 3.11%.
Oman Investment made the biggest trading value activity with a liquidity of OMR 270,000 ($701,298), the share rose 1.02%.
Alizz Islamic Bank made the biggest trading volume activity with 2.74 million traded shares, the stock rose 1.82%.
MSM 30 closed Tuesday with a fall of 0.03% or 1.85 points to 5,295.88 points.
