Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) ended Thursday’s trading in red, as the benchmark MSM 30 shrank 0.97% or 51.56 points.
The Sharia index also declined 0.4% or 3.32 points to 826.12 points.
Trading volume reached 15.9 million shares through 694 trades, with a turnover of OMR 3.11 million ($8.07 million).
The financial, services and industrial sectors slipped 0.89%, 0.45% and 0.14% respectively.
Out of 41 companies, 14 shares closed in red topped by Ahli Bank with a fall of 3.93%, while four shares moved up headed by Muscat Finance with a rise of 1.56%.
Bank Sohar made the biggest trading volume with 3.97 million traded shares, while Muscat Bank made the highest turnover with a liquidity of OMR 742,000 ($1.92 million).
MSM 30 and the Sharia index dropped yesterday by 0.39% and 0.33% respectively.
