Omani shares up 0.05% in early trade

Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market’s (MSM) main index, MSM 30, reached the level of 5,310.75 points in Thursday’s mid-trading after rising 0.05% or 2.65 points.

The Shariah index leapt 0.71% or 5.88 points to the level of 833.64 points.

Turnover reached OMR 2.26 million ($5.87 million) as 9.71 million shares were exchanged though 425 trades.

Oman Investment and Finance was the best performing share as it grew 3.54%, while Muscat Bank topped losers after falling 5.13%.

Muscat Bank’s ordinary general meeting approved yesterday dividends at 30%, divided to 25% cash dividends and 5% bonus shares.

 Oman Investment and Finance was the most traded share with a volume of 2.05 million shares exchanged at OMR 420,000 ($1.09 million).

MSM 30 rose yesterday by 0.23% or 12.22 points to the level of 5,308.1 points.
