Mubasher: The benchmark MSM 30 of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) opened Wednesday with a rise of 0.2% or 11 points to the level of 5,580.96 points.
Meanwhile, the Shariah index dipped 0.02% or 0.16 point to the level of 845.95 points.
Trading volume reached 9.09 million shares exchanged through 663 transactions. Turnover came to OMR 2.21 million ($5.74 million).
Oman and Emirates Investment Holding was the best performing share as it rose 6.8%, whereas Global Financial Investment was the worst after falling 9.8%.
Bank Muscat was the most active with a trading volume of 3.34 million shares exchanged at OMR 1.31 million ($3.40 million).
MSM 30 yesterday added 0.41% or 22.9 points to reach 5,585.78 points.
