Omani stocks lose 15 points at close

Mubasher: The main index of the Muscat Securities Market (MSM) recorded its third decline in a row, as it fell on Thursday by 0.29% or 15.61 points to the level of 5,388.34 points.

Al Sharia Index also edged down 0.08% to the level of 837.89 points.

Trading volume reached 14.61 million shares exchanged through 778 trades worth OMR 3.27 million.

The financial sector dropped alone by 0.40%, while the services and industrial sectors jumped 0.76% and 0.01% respectively.

Port Services Corp was the best performer as it grew 9.35%, while Ahli Bank topped losers by shrinking 5.56%.

Renaissance Services recorded the biggest trading volume activity with 2.75 million traded shares, whereas Muscat Bank made the highest trading value activity as liquidity exceeded OMR 744,000.

The bourse’s main gauge fell yesterday by 0.49% or 26.45 points to the level of 5,403.95 points.
