Mubasher: The Muscat Securities Market (MSM) hit a negative note in mid-session on Wednesday, as the main index, MSM 30, shrank 0.34% or 18.2 points to the level of 5,361.7 points.
Trading volume came to 3.9 million shares valued at OMR 483,700 through 231 trades.
Three shares moved up, 12 declined and another 12 were flat.
Galfar Engineering and Contracting was the best performer with a growth of 3.5%, while Bank Dhofar topped losers after dipping 2.14%.
MSM 30 closed Tuesday in green, supported by rises in the financial and services sectors.
