Omani trade exchange falls to OMR 10.143 bn

Mubasher: Omani trade exchange with the world plummeted to OMR 10.143 billion in the first five months, compared to OMR 13.453 billion in the same period of 2014, according to a report by Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

The report showed a total imports of OMR 4.525 billion for the period, versus OMR 4.620 billion in the same period of 2014, according to data quoted by China’s Xinhua news agency.

Oman imported its needs from 102 countries, with 20 Arab countries among them, as the United Arab Emirates was the first importer with 32.5% of the total imports, then Japan and China with 12.5% and 4.8% respectively, according to the ministry’s quoted statistics.
