Dubai – Mubasher: Omniyat Group revealed that the construction of the first hotel of Dorchester Collection, which is owned by the sovereign wealth fund Brunei Investment Agency, in Dubai is on track to be finished on schedule.
Set to be opened by the end of 2020, the Dubai property will be Dorchester’s first in the Middle East and Asia region, the UAE-based private property developer said in a recent statement.
The five-star hotel comprises 39 apartments and located at the Marasi Business Bay development in Downtown Dubai, close to Dubai Canal.
These apartments are expected to be ready for invite-only viewing by the end of 2019, the statement added.
“We are delighted with the construction progress of our first hotel in the UAE. We look forward to welcoming to our collection of landmark hotels and bringing Dorchester Collection’s world-famous standards of hospitality, care and attention to detail to guests from across the region and beyond,” Christopher Cowdray, CEO of Dorchester Collection, said.
Omniyat Group did not give further details regarding the project’s total cost.
It is worth noting that Dorchester Collection operates in several countries including the UK, Italy, and France.
