Mubasher: National Mobile Telecommunications (Ooredoo) Kuwait plans to launch the eSIM on its network soon, the company announced during a press conference held at its headquarters in Kuwait City.
Ooredoo Kuwait, listed on the Kuwaiti stock exchange, is the first telecom operator to offer this service in the GCC nation, and one of the first in the region, according to a recent statement.
“This important step comes in tandem with its digital transformation strategy and affirming its leadership in digitalisation in Kuwait, in addition to providing its customers a full-fledged and unique digital experience without the need to use a physical sim,” the statement added.
Ooredoo Kuwait’s senior director, corporate communications Mijbil Al Ayoub noted that this achievement strongly demonstrates Ooredoo’s belief in offering and investing in the best services across Kuwait.
