Mubasher: National Mobile Telecommunications (Ooredoo) registered a decline of 11.3% in profits during the third quarter of 2017 compared to the same period a year ago.
Earnings decreased to KWD 11.46 million ($38 million) in Q3-17 from KWD 12.92 million ($42.8 million) in Q3-16, according to a bourse statement issued on Monday.
During the first nine months of 2017, Ooredoo achieved a gain of 8% in profits to KWD 34.75 million compared to KWD 32.2 million in the same period a year ago.
It is worth mentioning that Ooredoo reported a rise of 20.8% in profits to KWD 23.3 million during the first half of 2017 compared to KWD 19.28 million in the same half of 2016
At the stock level, Ooredoo closed Monday’s session 1.5% higher at KWD 1.17.
