Ooredoo’s OIFL to pay $35.6m to GMTN holders

Doha – Mubasher: Qatari telecom operator Ooredoo said Wednesday that its subsidiary Ooredoo International Finance Limited (OIFL) will pay cash dividends at $35.6 million to its global medium term note (GMTN) holders on 14 April and 19 April.

On 14 April, OIFL, listed in Qatar Stock Exchange (QSE) and Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX), will pay $16.875 million for holders of bonds worth $1 billion (maturing 14 October 2016) at an interest of 3.375%.

On 19 April, the company will pay $18.75 million to holders of bonds worth $750 million (maturing on 19 October 2025) with an interest rate of 5%.

Ooredoo’s stock rose in today’s early trading by 1.14% to QAR 88.9 ($24.42) as 1,600 shares were exchanged at QAR 142,000 ($39,000).
