Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s telecommunication provider Ooredoo signed on Monday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide Qatar Airways with on board Wi-Fi services.
The three year deal is valued at $15 million divided to $5 million for each year, according to Qatar News Agency (QNA).
The new service provides passengers an access to the internet, e-mails and multimedia messages through their smart phones.
“Qatar Airways continues its efforts to provide the best service and experience to clients on board of its planes, so, the Wi-Fi service provides great communication, and we are proud for working with Ooredoo,” Al Baker said.
Meanwhile, Al Sayed said that Ooredoo is keen on guaranteeing the best services for its clients anywhere around the world.
The first of its kind agreement was inked by Ooredoo’s Chief Executive Officer Waleed Al Sayed and Qatar Airways Group CEO Akbar Al Baker.
