Ooredoo to issue new bonds

Doha – Mubasher: Qatar’s telecom provider Ooredoo announced on Thursday that it plans to issue new bonds under its $5 billion Global Medium Term Notes Programme (EMTN Programme).

The company named its subsidiary Ooredoo International Finance Limited as an issuer, and mandated Australia New Zealand Banking Group Limited, Citigroup Global Markets Limited, DBS Bank Ltd., HSBC Bank, Merrill Lynch International, Mitsubishi UFJ Securities International, Mizuho Securities USA Inc. and QNB Capital LLC to act as joint lead managers and book runners.

According to a bourse filing, the notes will be unconditionally guaranteed by Ooredoo and an offering of the notes is expected to be launched, subject to market conditions, following investor road shows commencing 10 June 2016 in the United States, Asia, Middle East and Europe.

The Qatar, Abu Dhabi-listed company also said that it has requested the Irish Stock Exchange to list the new bonds for trading on its regulated market.

The stock declined in today’s mid-trades on the Qatar Stock Exchange by 0.69% to QAR 86.4.
