Cairo – Mubasher: Orange Egypt is expected to sign the agreement related to obtaining the license of operating the fourth-generation mobile phone services today 13 October 2016, sources close to the matter told Mubasher.
Earlier, Orange Egypt has addressed Egypt's telecom regulator to acquire the license of operating the fourth-generation mobile phone services.
Last September, Egypt's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT) has received no formal requests from Egypt-based mobile operators to manage a fourth-generation (4G) mobile network in Egypt.
News reports claimed that Egypt’s mobile operators declined to apply for the 4G license as t do not particularly agree on the 50% dollar-collected fees.
