Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Company for Mobile Services (Orange Egypt) announced Tuesday shareholders approved appointing former telecommunication minister Atef Helmi as Chairman.
In an extraordinary general meeting, shareholders also amended articles of incorporation thus rebranding the company to “Orange Egypt”.
Helmi was appointed as minister of telecommunication and information technology in January, 2013.
