Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Construction Ltd on Thursday announced it will be renamed to Orascom Construction Plc.
The company is conducting all the required regulations to amend its name on the listing databases of both Nasdaq Dubai and the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), according to a statement to the EGX.
The Cairo-based firm is also seeking to modify its listing data at Misr for Central Clearing, Depository, & Registry, the statement added.
This follows the Dubai International Financial Centre’s (DIFC) decision to cancel the DIFC’s companies law No.2 for 2009, the company said.
On Wednesday, Orascom Construction revealed it would post its financial indicators and statements for the interim period ended September within 10 days.
The dual-listed firm previously reported a net consolidated profit of $87 million for the first half of 2018, versus $58.8 million in H1-17.
