Cairo – Mubasher: Orascom Telecom Media and Technology Holding (OTMT) on Tuesday said its consolidated profits for the first half of 2017soared 4,368%, compared to the corresponding period in the year before.
Profits jumped to EGP 359.3 million in H1-17 from EGP 8.04 million in H1-16, according to a statement to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).
Meanwhile, standalone financial statements showed that OTMT turned to profits, achieving EGP 367.7 million in H1-17, against losses of EGP 15.6 million in the same period in the year earlier.
OTMT previously reported consolidated profits of EGP 388.46 million in Q1-17, compared to EGP 48.73 million in Q1-16.
