UAE – Mubasher: The Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation (PCFC), a Government of Dubai organization, announced it will showcase 17 projects at the GITEX Technology Week 2019, the region’s largest technology event.
The projects will include artificial intelligence (AI) applications, block chain, process automation, and virtual reality, according to a press release.
This comes in line with Dubai’s rapid technology transformations under the directions of Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The PCFC, comprising Dubai Customs, DP World, Customs World, Dubai Maritime City Authority (DMCA), Planning and Development Department (Trakhees), and Dutech, will be participating at the exhibition.
During the GITEX week, Dubai Customs will be presenting its Productivity Engine, an AI-based project to promote employee productivity, the PCFC said.
Dubai Customs will also showcase its Virtual Reality Inspectors Training Programme - Phase 2, Smart Vessel Berthing System, International Humanitarian Databank, Masar Corporate Strategy and Performance Management system, and the Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) programme.
As for DP World, it will be showcasing three projects at the GITEX, including Box-Bay Storage, Twist lock Robot, and Block Chain project.
Moreover, Trakhees will be displaying Smart Inspection - Phase 2 and Trakhees LMS at the exhibition, the PCFC added.
Meanwhile, DMCA will be presenting three projects, namely DMVC Platform with the new Native Mobile Application for the maritime sector in Dubai through the concept of Maritime Virtual Cluster, in addition to Sea Dubai platform for marine leisure activities in Dubai and Smart Maritime Authority application.
Furthermore, Customs World will be launching its latest platform RIISE at the event, and Dutech, the technical arm of PCFC, will be displaying Mektabi corporate collaboration smart platform and the company’s newly upgraded website.
It is worth noting that the 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week 2019 is taking place from 6 to 10 October 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Center.
