Mubasher: The passenger traffic at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) surged 6% in the first 11 months of 2015, as it recorded 7.8 million passengers compared with 7.3 million passengers for the same period of 2014.
Bahrain is currently embarking on a massive $1bn expansion at the BIA, which is expected to be completed in 2020.
Once completed, the new expansion will enable the airport to accommodate 14 million passengers per year, up from four million at present.
