Personal spending in US rises 0.5% in January

Mubasher: The personal spending in the US grew by 0.5% in January, the ministry of commerce said on Friday.

The spending was expected to increase by nearly 0.3% last month.

Meanwhile, the personal income rose by around 0.5%.

In December 2015, the personal spending was up 0.1%.
