Petroleum Development Oman to add 21,000 new jobs in 2019

Mubasher: Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) plans to create 21,000 job opportunities in 2019, as part of the national objectives programme.

PDO created above 55,000 jobs and training opportunities since launching its programme in 2011.

“We are going to work with all sectors to achieve this target and will also be working internally with PDO contractors,” the programme’s training assurance adviser Amur Al Rahbi told Times of Oman.

He highlighted that the main aim of the programme was “to help employers get qualified employees and also to help jobseekers become qualified enough to join the private sector.”
