Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: Irish actor, film producer, and activist Pierce Brosnan is to star in the coming action movie “The Misfits”, which will begin shooting later this month in Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, Abu Dhabi.
The film, directed by action veteran Renny Harlin, will be shot next week on 18 February, Arabian Business reported.
“Pierce and I have been friends for many years and have been looking for a project to collaborate on for some time. I could not have hoped for a better actor to play our lead,” Harlin said.
Both Jamie Chung and British actress Hermione Corfield will also appear in the film, scripted by Robert Henny.
The film will be produced by Kia Jam and Dean Altit and executive produced by Prince Rami Al Husseini.
“We all agreed in order to do the film justice, production would have to take place primarily on location in Abu Dhabi rather than L.A., and we set up our base at the spectacular Jumeirah at Etihad Towers,” Jam said.
The announcement took place on the sidelines of the European Film Market.
