Polish tourists make up 3% of Egypt’s 2017 total visitors

Cairo – Mubasher: The number of Polish tourists who visited Egypt in 2017 rose 2.8% to 121,000 visitors out of total 4.3 million tourists, head of the Polish Chamber of Tourism Paul Niewiadomski said.

Niewiadomski added during the annual International Travel Show TT in Warsaw that polish tourists are ranked sixth highest visitors to Egypt among all nationalities this year, according to Egypt Independent.

The United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) is forecasting Egypt to welcome 8 million tourists by the end of 2017.

The Egyptian government had previously announced that Egypt’s tourism revenues leaped 211.8% in the first nine months of 2017 to $5.3 billion from $1.7 billion in the prior-year period.

Egypt aims at doubling trade exchange with Poland to $1 billion this year.
