Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 2.37 billion in customs duties, taxes, and charges at Port Said during August.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said amounted to EGP 397.45 million during August, according to a statement on Thursday.
Additionally, the value-added taxes (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods stood at EGP 1.977 billion during the month, the statement showed.
The imported goods included wheat, legumes, and maize, among others.
