Cairo – Mubasher: The Egyptian Customs Authority collected EGP 3.052 billion in customs duties, taxes, and other charges at Port Said during June.
The total value of taxes and customs duties collected for imported goods at Port Said amounted to EGP 480.667 million during the sixth month of 2020, the finance minister Mohamed Maait said in a statement on Wednesday.
Moreover, value-added tax (VAT) and other charges imposed on these goods amounted to EGP 2.571 billion during the month, the statement showed.
The imported goods included wheat, corn, and legumes.
