Cairo – Mubasher: Porto Group Holding’s stock topped active stocks on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in terms of trading volume in 2017 as about 12 billion shares were traded on the stock at a turnover of EGP 5 billion, according to the Egyptian Exchange’s (EGX) annual report of 2017.
Orascom Telecom ranked second with a traded volume of about 11 billion shares exchanged at EGP 8 billion, followed by Citadel Capital with a turnover of EGP 12 billion traded over about 10 billion shares, data showed.
Amer group was ranked with a traded volume of 9 billion shares, followed by Egyptian resort and Global Holding with a traded volume of about 4 billion shares and 2 billion shares respectively.
Meanwhile, Emaar Misr, TMG Holding, and Arab Cotton Ginning recorded a trading volume of about billion shares each in 2017.
