Prime Holding profit hikes 4% in 12M

Cairo – Mubasher: Prime Holding on Tuesday reported a 4% year-on-year increase in consolidated profits for 2018.

Net profit reached EGP 32.23 million last year, versus EGP 30.86 million in 2017, the company said in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).

Revenues grew to EGP 99.7 million in the 12-month period ended December 2018, compared to EGP 85.4 million in 2017.

At the level of standalone business, profits fell to EGP 22.4 million in 2018, versus EGP 23.77 million in a year earlier.

Additionally, the company’s board of directors has recommended the distribution of cash dividends worth EGP 0.30 per share for 2018.

Prime Holding previously posted a 53% year-on-year growth in consolidated profits for the first nine months of 2018, logging EGP 28.8 million in profits, versus EGP 18.9 million.

Standalone profits rose slightly to EGP 5.2 million in the January-September period of 2018, from EGP 5 million in the corresponding period of 2017.
