Prince Alwaleed cancels investment plans in Iran

Riyadh-Mubasher: Prince Alwaleed bin Talal, Saudi business tycoon and chairman of Kingdom Holding Co. (KHC), said on his twitter account that he decided to scrap studies on projects and investments in Iran.

Alwaleed also said he refused the Iranian ambassador's request for a meeting and stopped all flights to Iran by Flynas, in which KHC holds a 34% stake.

Saudi Arabia Sunday cut diplomatic relations and froze commercial ties with Iran after its embassy in Tehran was stormed in response to Saudi government executed a prominent Shi'ite cleric.
