ProMedEx welcomes Boodai in board of directors

Riyadh – Mubasher: Professional Medical Expertise Company (ProMedEx) has announced the appointment of Adel Abdulaziz Ahmed Boodai to its board of directors as an independent member, according to a bourse disclosure.

The decision was reached through a board circular resolution on 30 May 2026 following a recommendation from the Remuneration and Nominations Committee.

Boodai will occupy the seat vacated by former board member Abdulilah Zahid and will serve for the remainder of the current board term, which is scheduled to conclude on 27 December 2026.

This move ensures the continuity of the board’s functions following the resignation of Zahid while maintaining the required number of independent voices within the company’s highest decision-making body.

The company clarified that while the board has approved the appointment, the decision remains preliminary. In accordance with Saudi corporate governance regulations, the appointment will be presented at the next General Assembly meeting for formal ratification by the shareholders. Furthermore, the circular resolution passed by the board will be formally discussed and documented in the minutes of the first subsequent physical board meeting.

Boodai brings a wealth of professional experience to the board, with a career in financial services and consultancy spanning more than three decades. He is a Saudi national born in 1961 and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from King Saud University during the 1984-1985 academic year.

Since 1991, he has been a prominent figure in the fields of accounting, auditing, and financial advisory. His professional credentials include being a licensed Certified Public Accountant and a certified arbitrator recognized by the Saudi Ministry of Justice.

Furthermore, he is a licensed bankruptcy trustee and expert, and he holds certification as a qualified expert from the GCC Commercial Arbitration Centre.

The new appointee’s expertise extends across several critical financial and administrative domains. His professional history includes significant work in Zakat and tax reporting, strategic restructuring, performance development, and feasibility studies.

In addition to his new role at ProMedEx, Boodai maintains several high-level leadership positions across various industries. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board for Adel Boodai & Omar Al Omar Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (CPA), a professional limited liability company. He also holds chairmanship roles at the Saudi Waqf Development Company, which focuses on project management and facilities, and the Knowledge Sciences for Education and Training Company.

Within the financial sector, Boodai serves as an independent board member and Chairman of the Audit Committee at Al Jabr Finance, a closed Saudi joint-stock company specializing in Sharia-compliant vehicle financing.
