Production of Fuel in Oman falls to 3.4%

Muscat - Decypha: Production of petroleum products in Oman has decreased by 3.4% in February 2017, in comparison to the same period last year, according to the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI).

Production of fuel octane 91 has increased to hit 3.213 million barrels, recording a 17% growth by the end of February 2017. Sales of octane 91 have also grown by 52% than the previous year to hit 1.104 million barrels, according to Times of Oman.

On the other hand, production of fuel octane 95 fell by a whopping 21% to hit 2.708 million barrels, similarly sales have fallen by 13% to record 2.586 million barrels. 

For Diesel production has averaged around 3.741 million barrels, with sales falling in comparison to the previous by decreased by 10% to hit2.551 million barrels.

In terms of Jet fuel, production has decreased by 2%, despite the rise of sales by 6% to hit 789,000 barrels, with the remainder 114,000 being exported.
