Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) ended Monday’s trading session in the red territory, for the second session in a row, pressured by profit-taking.
The general index went down 0.46%, or 15.6 points, ending the session at 2,760.14 points.
Turnover amounted to AED 198.35 million after 138.81 million shares exchanged hands through 2,611 transactions.
The insurance sector topped the decliners falling by 4.5% as SALAMA Insurance and Dar Al Takaful plunged 7.24% and 4.3%, respectively.
Similarly, the commodities sector levelled down 3.5% on the back of DXB Entertainments’ 4.12% drop, while the investment sector retreated 1.72% as DFM Company and Shuaa Capital decreased by 2.65% and 2.24%, respectively.
The real estate sector levelled down 0.87% as Arabtec and Emaar went down 2.34% and 1.05%, respectively.
