Profit-taking weighs on ADX at Thursday’s close

Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX) ended Thursday’s trading session with negative performance, dragged down by profit-taking on blue-chip stocks.

The general index inched down 0.35%, ending the last session of the week at 5,242.59 points.

Turnover amounted to AED 128.20 million after 25.77 million shares exchanged hands through 1,329 transactions.

Taqa’s stock topped the losers and fell 8.72%, followed by United Arab Bank (UAB) and Sharjah Islamic Bank with 4.42% and 1.77%, respectively.

Meanwhile, Asmak’s stock headed the risers after adding 6.5%, followed by Al Waha Capital and Dana Gas with 1.82% and 0.47%, respectively.
