Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) has seen a bearish trend on Wednesday as some blue-chip stocks saw profit-taking transactions, after marking a four-session high.
The DFM’s general index slipped 11.84 points, or 0.44%, finishing the session at 2,663.55 points.
The consumer goods sector fell 4.09% as DXB Entertainments declined 4.85%, while the insurance sector dropped when Salama Insurance slid 3.18%.
The transport sector decreased by 1.27% as Aramex fell 1.63%, and the investment sector shed 0.22% after Dubai Investments fell 1.535.
Similarly, the telecommunication sector went down by 1.18% as its sole stock Du fell by the same percentage.
Meanwhile, the real estate sector dipped 0.42% and the banks sector fell 0.42%.
Trading volume amounted to 193.33 million shares exchanged through 3,096 transactions at a turnover of AED 231.63 million.
