Mubasher: Total spending of Kuwait’s Ministry of Public Works (MPW) reached KWD 671.9 million in fiscal year 2018/2019 with 69.6% outlays from the estimated budget of KWD 965 million, according to the Ministry of Finance’s (MoF) final report.
The MPW spent around KWD 128.5 million in salaries, allowances, and remunerations for workers, or 58% of the estimated budget of KWD 220.2 million allocated for this item, the report added.
About KWD 26.5 million was spent on commodities and services, the MoF said.
The GCC nation’s MPW also spent KWD 514.8 million for its projects in various departments, and KWD 2.028 million in the item of expenses and transfers.
