Mubasher: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has increased the interest rates on deposits, following the US Federal Reserve’ decision.
The QCB raised the rates by 25 points to 2.5%, according to an official statement released on Thursday.
The other GCC countries, except Kuwait, have followed the trend.
On Wednesday, the Fed decided to raise interest rates by 0.25% to a range between 2.25% to 2.5%, a move that was highly expected.
