Mubasher: The Qatar Exchange saw a positive performance this week, as the general index registered 1.2% gains, equivalent to 118.2 points, and closed at the level of 9,902.5 points.
Meanwhile, market capitalization declined by 16% to QAR 1.03 trillion by the end of the week.
Traded volumes also shrank by 12.3% to 28.60 million shares, compared with 32.60 million shares in the week before, while values rose by 1.3% to QAR 553.67 billion.
Banks and financial services led the rising sectors, and dominated 31.85% of trade, followed by industrials with 33.77%.
As for the stocks’ performance, 20 out of 45 ended the week in the green zone, while 21 declined and four remained unchanged, with Qatar National Bank (QNB) being the top gainer as it added 15.9%.
